Australia’s largest Regional City is making headlines for all the right reasons. We have been talking to you about the investment potential in Ballarat quite a lot this year.
Previously, we have discussed why investors and residents are considering Ballarat. You may have read about:
- Relocation benefits: $20,000 First Home Buyers grant applicable to regional first home buyers
- Affordability: large land size plus brand new house and land packages available under $400,000
- Infrastructure and jobs: Ballarat is forecast to grow in population by over 40% by 2036
- Connectivity and liveability: Ballarat features leading schools, universities and recreational amenities to suit everyone, plus just 1 hours from Melbourne CBD by car or train
Recently, designs for the GovHub precinct in Ballarat were unveiled by John Wade Architects. The $47.8 million project will provide facilities to over 1,000 government employees and will create an additional 600 new positions within Ballarat’s CBD.
The project, which is expected to be completed in 2020, is part of the City’s long-term strategy to generate jobs growth, increase confidence in both local and multi-national businesses, and also to provide tools, resources, and support to further the private sector in Ballarat’s CBD.
This is great news for investors. Ballarat offers first-time investors a number of essential elements for a strong investment strategy: demand, infrastructure, the opportunity for growth.
